After a well-earned break over the holidays, the team at West Coast Electrical & Renewables is back and ready for 2026. As an experienced electrical and solar company in Blackpool, we’re entering the year with exciting growth plans, from expanding our renewables team to continuing our trusted electrical work.
We offer a wide range of services, from residential rewires to commercial solar projects. Our customers are based across Blackpool, Poulton-le-Fylde, Thornton-Cleveleys, Lytham St Annes, and the wider North West. As we grow, we’re also on the lookout for new team members who share our values and vision.
2025 in Review: A Year of Growth in Renewables
Last year was a big one for the renewables side of our business. With energy prices still high and more homeowners looking to reduce their reliance on the grid, we saw a major increase in interest around solar panels, battery storage, and EV charging.
We completed a wide variety of solar PV installations, from small residential systems to larger-scale setups on commercial properties. Many customers also chose to future-proof their homes with AlphaESS or Tesla battery storage. We worked with a variety of roof types and mounting systems, including Esdec, Schletter, and Van der Valk.
One noticeable trend was the rise in people wanting to expand small new build solar systems. More and more homes are now built with just 1 or 2 solar panels as standard, but we found that customers often wanted to add more panels and incorporate battery storage to make the system work harder for them. This is an area we expect to keep growing in 2026.
We’re proud to be MCS certified, RECC accredited, and known locally for our tidy work, honest advice, and professional service. These accreditations, along with the positive reviews we’ve received, help give customers peace of mind that they’re in good hands.
We’re Hiring: Join Our Expanding Electrical & Renewables Team
To keep up with demand, we’re looking to hire a new electrician, ideally someone who already has experience in solar PV installations or is keen to develop their skills in this area. As our workload continues to grow, especially on the renewables side, we need someone who can confidently step into ongoing projects and take pride in their work.

Our team is known for being professional, approachable, and respectful in customers’ homes. We always aim to leave jobs clean, safe, and completed to a high standard. If you’re someone who values that kind of working environment and wants to be part of a growing company with a strong reputation, this could be a great opportunity for you.
We’re also keen to support ongoing training and development. So, even if you’re a qualified electrician with limited solar experience, we’d still love to hear from you.
Keeping Our Electrical Services Strong
While renewables are a major focus for us this year, we’re not stepping back from our core electrical services. Whether it’s a full rewire, EICR report, fuse box upgrade, or installing additional sockets and lighting, we’re continuing to serve homeowners and businesses throughout Blackpool and the surrounding areas.
In 2025, we carried out a wide range of domestic and commercial projects, including:
• Electrical testing for holiday lets and hotels
• Emergency callouts and fault finding
• Media wall and lighting installations
• Kitchen rewires and loft conversion electrics
• Outdoor lighting and summer house supplies
Our NICEIC registration and TrustMark status give customers peace of mind that all work meets the latest UK electrical regulations. We also completed health and safety refresher training at the start of last year and remain committed to keeping standards high across every job.
Regardless of the job’s size, we treat every property with care and attention. This consistent approach is what keeps our customers coming back and referring us to others.
