2026 is already shaping up to be a busy year for us at West Coast Electrical & Renewables. Our team is growing, our renewables workload continues to increase, and we’re looking to bring another experienced electrician on board to help us deliver the high standard of work our customers expect.

In fact, this is not just another job ad. It’s part of our wider plans as we continue to build a reliable, skilled team that can support the growth of both the electrical and renewables sides of the business.

If you’re looking for an electrician job with solar experience, this could be the right time to get involved.

A Bit About Us

We are a local electrical and renewables company based in Blackpool, serving customers across the Fylde Coast and Lancashire. Our team covers areas including Poulton-le-Fylde, Thornton-Cleveleys, Lytham St Annes. Additionally, we regularly travel to Preston and the surrounding areas.

We’ve built a strong reputation for delivering clean, tidy work across a wide range of electrical services. Whether it’s a full rewire, consumer unit upgrade, or fault finding in a commercial property, we take pride in doing things properly. Meanwhile, our renewables offering continues to grow.

We are fully MCS certified and RECC accredited. Our team stays up to date with the latest in solar, battery storage and EV technology. We work with homeowners, landlords, builders and businesses, and we treat every job with the same level of care and professionalism.

Why This Role Has Opened Up

In the past 12 months, we’ve seen a clear increase in demand for solar installations, battery upgrades and energy-efficient solutions. As a result, more customers are asking for full energy packages that include solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and we want to make sure we have the right people in place to meet that demand.

To support that, we’re now looking to hire a qualified electrician who has solar PV experience and is ready to join a well-organised, supportive team.

This isn’t about filling a gap. It’s about continuing to build a team that values quality work, takes pride in neat installations, and works well with customers.

What We’re Looking For

To apply for this role, you’ll need:

• NVQ Level 3 qualification

• 18th Edition

• Experience in domestic electrical work

• Solar PV installation experience

You will be working across a mix of projects. These include electrical testing, consumer unit upgrades, and full solar and battery installations. We take on both domestic and commercial work and always aim to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard.

Good communication, a tidy approach and a willingness to learn are all important to us. Even though you will often be working independently, you will be fully supported by our wider team, including our office staff and project leads.

What You’ll Be Working On

This role will mainly focus on renewable energy installations, including solar PV, battery storage and EV charger systems. Ideally, we are looking for someone who already has hands-on experience in this type of work and understands the importance of safe, well-organised installs.

However, we also need an electrician who is confident in carrying out general electrical work to a high standard. That includes jobs like testing, consumer unit upgrades, and wiring for property upgrades or extensions.

To give you an idea, recent projects have included:

• Solar PV and battery storage systems

• Upgrading rental properties with modern, safe consumer units

• EV charger installations for homeowners and businesses

• Solar expansions on properties that had just a few existing panels

• Electrical work for kitchen renovations, loft conversions and extensions

We use reliable equipment and have clear internal processes to help jobs run smoothly. More importantly, you will be part of a business that invests in doing things right and looks after the people who work here.

A Growing Year for Renewables

We have more announcements coming soon around our work in the renewable energy space. For example, from new offerings to exciting projects already lined up, 2026 is set to be another big step forward for West Coast Electrical & Renewables.

We aim to continue delivering high-quality electrical work while expanding our role in helping customers generate, store and manage their own energy. Having the right people in place is key to making that happen, and that’s where you come in.

Overall, we are proud to be a growing part of the UK’s shift towards cleaner energy solutions, and we’re looking for someone who wants to contribute to that in a meaningful way.
